Disclosure of Personal Information (VET Training): DSA is required by law (under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (NVETR Act)) to disclose personal information to the National VET Data Collection, managed by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER). The NCVER is responsible for managing, analysing, and communicating research and statistics about the Australian VET sector.
We are also authorised by law to disclose your personal information to the relevant state or territory training authority as required for reporting, funding, or compliance purposes.
How NCVER and Other Bodies Handle Your Information: NCVER collects, holds, uses, and discloses personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the NVETR Act. The information may be used for:
- Populating authenticated VET transcripts
- Administration of VET
- Statistical and research purposes
- Understanding the VET market
The NCVER may also disclose personal information to the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE), Commonwealth authorities, and State and Territory authorities involved with VET administration and regulation. Sharing Information with Asset College: As a partner delivering nationally recognised qualifications, all information collected by Defensive Solutions Australia for VET training is shared with Asset College (RTO 31718) in accordance with their Privacy Policy, available on their website.
